Shaniko wool comes mostly from US Merino and Merino/Rambouillet cross sheep. It is a fine, soft, and very white wool. The staple length is a little longer than standard Merino, making it a great fiber for adventurous beginners or those looking to spin for next-to-the-skin soft garments.
